Congratulations to the members of the combined Drysdale and 1st Barwon/2nd Geelong Patrol ‘DBG’ for achieving Gold at this year’s Stradbroke Cup.
The Stradbroke “Challenge” Cup was offered to the Association by His Excellency, The Earl of Stradbroke, after he was farewelled, by a march-past of Scouts at the end of his term of office of Governor of Victoria in 1926.
The Stradbroke Cup today is a camping assessment with the highest achievers becoming co-holders of the Cup. There is an extensive program of activities available at all venues for both during the day and in the evening. The whole event is an opportunity for Scout Troops and Patrols to have an enjoyable camping experience and experience the fellowship of a large combined camp.
